Ted's Farewell to Stella

I'm writing this now while listening to the song that was playing on the background while Ted was having his closure with Stella in the episode, As Fast as She Can. I caught a glimpse of the series after during season five then I started to like it so I decided to watch it from the beginning. Ted almost marrying Stella was one of the moments in the Ted's life that really caught me off guard. At one point I really wanted Stella to be the mother but it was pretty obvious that she wasn't. Stella running off with Tony broke my heart as it should and I was pissed that Ted wasn't showing any signs of anger till he realized that Stella abandoned her New Jersey home to live in Tony's apartment in New York. Even without really saying it out loud, Stella left a huge hole in Ted's life. He got left at the altar, and he struggled a lot to move on from that fact.

The writer's of the show really knows how to put you in Ted's shoes cause you really can feel his struggle from that failed relationship. As Fast as She Can to me is one of the best episodes of the series in terms of closure. The conversation between Stella and Ted was the perfect way to end his struggle with him being left by Stella.

Ted Mosby: "Okay, I'm gonna say something out loud that I've been doing a pretty good job not saying out loud lately. What you and Tony have... What I thought for a second you and I had... What I know that Marshall and Lily have... I want that. I do. I keep waiting for it to hap
pen, I wait for it to happen and... I guess I'm just... I'm tired of waiting. And that is all I'm going to say on that subject."

Stella Zinman: "I know that you are tired of waiting, and you may have to wait a little while more, but she's on her way, Ted. And she's getting here as fast as she can."

Ted: "Goodbye,  Stella."

Stella: "Goodbye, Ted."

It was the perfect way to end Stella and Ted's story. A conversation between two estranged lovers. With Stella finally getting what she wants and Ted finally hearing the right words from the most unexpected person.

Taxi

The Maine's Lovely Little Lonely Album Cover
I truly believe The Maine's independent released album, Lovely Little Lonely is one of the most underrated albums released this year. There are so many songs on the album that just stands out to me with Black Butterflies and Deja Vu, Don't Come Down, The Sound of Reverie to name a few but my favorite has got to be their fifth track, Taxi. I think it paints a miserable picture that life and relationships is not supposed to be perfect but even with that we continue to accept life's harsh truth that nothing can be perfect.

"and in the backseat when you asked me is the saddest everlasting? I pulled you closer, looked at you and said. Love I think it is"

Settling Towards Uncertainty

There is no reason for you to be here really, but if for some reason you happen to stumble across this totally random blog, I'm assuming that you are really bored since I have not posted a link of this site anywhere. This is basically a place for me to write away my thoughts just like twitter but without the followers and the character limits. Posts in here will be really personal as if I'm just talking to myself about anything under the sun. If you stick around let me know, but if not that's fine too.
